What is the technical content of the HRS system? PDF Print E-mail

a) Deformation
The HRS system calculates the hot deformation of steel for the rolling passes from existing grooves, or can be used as a design tool for determining the ideal roll pass design and calculating the deformation of the steel passes with grooves designed.
The output dimensions of the bars in the passes are calculated by the HRS.
Thus the HRS system can be used as a simulator of an existing process, or as software for roll pass design of a rolling mill for long products.

b) Process
The HRS system calculates all the necessary conditions for the rolling process: bite angle, temperature, speed, production, rolls diameter, pass gap, and tensions between passes in the operation of the continuous trains.

c) Forces
The HRS system calculates:
- steel deformation resistance
- rolling force
- all torques of the pass: rolling torque, friction torque, torque without load, and total torque
- all powers of the pass: rolling power, friction power, power without load, and total power.
This force calculation are done for each type of steel grade that is rolled.

d) Motors
The HRS system checks the conditions of operation of the drive motors of the mill stand indicating whether the operating condition is safe or not.
