Simulation of the hot rolling process for steel long products.

Simulator Mode

Simulation of the following parameters: gap, speed motor, rolls diameter, temperature, and steel grade.

Technical Mode
  • Pass deformation calculation - area reduction, spread, elongation, and height reduction.
  • Operational calculation - rolls diameter, bite angle, speeds and productions.
  • Automatic calculation of the tension between stands on continuous rollling mills.

Gap Mode

The user can simulate the pass gap and the software to determinate the practical deformation. Easy visualization of the material deformation for all passes after the pass with gap simulated. Visual indication of the bad spread in the passes after the pass that user is simulating. The user can control that.

Study of Contact Mode

Easy visualization of the study of contact with graphic presentation.
The user can determinate passes with the best deformation and contact.
The user does simulation of passes with uniform wear due the perfect geometry.

One Pass Mode

Easy visualization of the passes on a larger scale.

All Passes Mode

Visual management of all passes of the simulation process. This mode is for each train of the rolling mill.

Motor Mode

Immediate visualization of the pass for motor in rolling mill with speed variation.
The use knows if the pass can operate with the motor of the stand, visually and automatically.
Elimination of surprises due to motors malfunctions about speeds, torque and power.



Area Reduction Mode

Visualization of area reductions of all passes.
Average reductions calculation for each train of the rolling mill.
Average reductions calculation for all the rolling mill.
Average reduction calculation tool for any group of passes of the rolling mill. 

Graphics Mode

Graphical presentation of all parameters and important results of the project.
Graphics organized into four groups: deformation, production, forces, and pass parameters.
Comparison of average reduction trains against average reduction of all rolling mill.
Comparison between the real production of the passes and the furnace production capacity.
Comparison between motor rotation of the pass and the maximum rotation of the motor.
Comparison between total torque of the passes and the motor torque of each stand.

Simulation Tour


Manage the simulation process is very easy with the HRS system.
The user can give name or number for each groove. So a groove identification is always available in the HRS files.
The groove identification defined by the user is presented in all modes of the HRS system.

Simulation Management Modes

New Project Mode

Lets you create a file HRS system to a new simulation project to be developed.

Save As Mode

Lets you create a new file HRS system equal to the user's working file.

 

Project Report Mode
Presents in detail all data and values calculated by the technical mode of the HRS system.
It is a report and it can be printed in paper by the user, using the printer.

Equipment Data Mode

Presents in detail all equipment data of the rolling mill used for the rolling simulation.

Groove Drawings Mode

This mode presents de groove drawings, template drawings, and groove profile drawings on the screen.
It is possible to print the sames with control of scale.
In this mode we have the name or number of the groove entry.

Groove Machined Mode

This mode presents a easily data entry for grooves to canal types like ovals, box H, box HV, svendish oval, dogbone, box oval. If the groove already exists at the mill the user has a easily entry for that.

Preferences Mode

Presents 9 colors options for the working area of the HRS System.
This mode configures the paper size for printing reports and drawings.
It selects a folder of files on the Windows for using with the HRS files.
This mode also configures de entry mode on the HRS system.

Project Data Mode

This mode presents a easily data entry for the simulation project. It uses the Windows Explorer format.
This is easy for the people because they already use this format in others system and programs.
